What exactly can keynote Seth Godin teach Latinos in Social Media?
I asked a few people that are familiar with Seth's books what they thought. My new friend Ramon Nuez editor of the New Media Brief directed me to a great website called Ted.com that has a video that I feel sums it all up. (I posted the video below for reference)
"Seth Godin argues the Internet has ended mass marketing and revived a human social unit from the distant past: tribes. Founded on shared ideas and values, tribes give ordinary people the power to lead and make big change. He urges us to do so."
Many of us have commented on how influential Latinos have really emerged on the "social web" in the last year or two. These Latinos, have influence in their own circles or tribes with whom they share ideals with.
The real question becomes can each of us effectively get our message to "a group that is disconnected but yearning instead of persuading people that they want something they do not have", grow them and make the change that is needed for you to stand out as an expert?
It is LATISM's belief that Seth (although not Latino) can really inspire us to effectively lead, market, organize, educate, serve those that seek our expertise in the work we do.
