20_2 The inaugural TeatroStageFest will wake up New York in the spring of 2007 to an artistic, cultural, and educational celebration that will spotlight center stage groundbreaking Latino and Iberian theater from New York, Latin America, and the Caribbean! 

It is produced by the Latino International Theater Festival of New York, Inc. (LITF/NY), a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting year-round the work of Latino artists and theater companies, and fostering artistic and cultural exchange around the world.

TeatroStageFest will welcome all Audiences to its many events:

    Theater Productions featuring Latino New York City based theater companies;

  • International Productions from Latin America, Spain, and the Caribbean;
  • Artist Panels, co-sponsored by Instituto Cervantes and The New York Times’ Times Talks;
  • Intimate Concerts showcasing award-winning Latino Broadway musical stars;
  • A Young Playwrights Latino Challenge Award and Residency-in-the-Schools for 1,000 public high school students (Guidelines here!); and
  • Related events around New York.
