As many of you know, I support lots of thought leaders by bringing them to this platform to help them reach people and educate them on topics they are passionate about. Over the last 5 years I have gotten to know Nathasha Alvarez as a fearless advocate for the physically disabled. This is way overdue but I want you to meet her, get to know her and be familiar with her work. If it resonates with you… consider helping her spread awareness and raise money to grow.
Nathasha Alvarez , a Colombian American, was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Basically she has very fragile bones but her determination is fierce. When she realized that mainstream media was excluding her community of people with physical disabilities, she set up a non -profit organization named Audacitymagazine.com, a lifestyle magazine for people like herself. That was about 10 years ago and it’s still continuing to provide information that empowers her community.
At the present moment, Audacity Magazine accepts donations from corporations and individuals while continuing to work with mainstream companies who want to advertise and sponsor on the site. The magazine’s topic range from fashion faux pas to sexual topics too taboo for mainstream media. It’s an audacious project with some of the most amazing writers around the world.
“There’s a bigger vision than the articles you find in mainstream media,” Nathasha Alvarez explains. “In the future, we want to have conferences and virtual meetings where more of us can connect, exchange ideas and empower ourselves into living an audacious life.”
That’s where you come in. When you go to the site, www.audacitymagazine.com/donate you can be part of the vision. Donating $5, $20, $200 or even $5,000 like financial expert, Suze Orman did because she believes in the audacious vision. It’s time to walk the walk. If we truly want to support our brothers and sisters with physical disabilities, a donation or sponsorship can make it happen. Every single dollar goes to the people who make it happen.
Join the journey. Be a part of the vision. Let’s donate audaciously!
