El Diario De La Prensa Talks #CapicuCulture

Nothing like a surprise FB status from my friend Jennifer to alert me that El Diario De La Prensa featured me in the Nuestras Caras section this past Monday (yes on Martin Luther King’s birthday… cool huh?).  Carolina Ledezma chatted with me around the holidays to talk about the journey that led me to working with my partner Juan “PapoSwiggity” Santiago and the creation of Capicu Cultural Showcase.

So since it was published last Monday and I could not give you a heads up to grab the actual paper… I thought I would post the .PDF on the page so that you can download it and read it if you like. Keep in mind that El Diario is a Spanish language paper… so this is me showing off my Puerto Rico education (shout out to my alma matter Papa Juan XXIII in Bayamon Puerto Rico.

I hope you enjoy the article… but more importantly… I hope you join the #CapicuCulture movement, we need you to help us make a difference. Big shout to Jesus G. for making this happen… and Sandra Guzman from 2DreamArtists for capturing the moment.

Here is the link to the PDF. –  El Diario – George Torres, El Jibaro Urbano de Brooklyn
