Breaking News: Sofrito For Your Soul Is No Longer A Website!

Happy New Years Mi Gente…

 Things change…and I have come to the realization that what we have here is currently undergoing a radical transformation. The purpose of this site was to document the evolution of Latino culture in the United States. Our mission is to share the spirit of our heritage through art, fashion, music, dance, traditions,and emerging trends. We strive to offer Latinos a chance to reconnect with their heritage and extend an invitation to other cultures to experience the beauty of everything we have to offer.

So what is changing?

The way YOU get information online… so our commitment is to offer you more ways to be able to connect with us so that you satisfy that urge to be culturally connected. The Sofrito For Your Souls concept has evolved way past being just a website…it has become a movement.

Make no mistakes…I am still your favorite Jibaro delivering that cultura to you daily…question is…how do you want it?

You can now connect with us on many different platforms, here are just a few (we will be adding many more). Actually…each of these platforms have their own "personalities" and many times there is exclusive content available on each platform that would not make sense anywhere else.

In addition…this is always about you…I take pride in promoting more cultural websites than any other website. I do that because my commitment to you is to bring you the BEST articles of Latino culture even if it is not on my website.

Let's take a look at where the Sofrito Movement has taken us…

Facebook  Our Facebook Fan Page – The largest social media site said something very interesting to me this year. They said I was TOO SOCIAL… and was about to cap out on my 5k friend limit (que jodienda!). So they told me that in order for me to really accommodate our readership base, I would have to stop using my current Facebook page (where I have 4500 of my closest friends) and start using a fan page instead.

So three weeks ago we officially launched the Sofrito Fan Page and 1200 of you joined almost immediately.

So if you have not done so already, visit our Facebook Fan group and join the conversation today!

@UrbanJibaro is on Twitter!

Mm_twitter  That's right we have a Twitter Page - Well ok, it is more like the Urban Jibaro twitter account. For those of you on twitter…this is where I share thoughts with people I admire, ask for advice, give advice, share resources and generally just connect with really cool people. You can almost say it is like being at get together at my place. Many people ask why I did not start a Sofrito twitter account…I always say…because Sofrito is not a person…and twitter is all about personal connections.

So if you are on twitter and you want to connect…visit me at my Twitter page.
