Who Needs Language Lessons? I Learned 34 New Languages For $2.99
OK… so that is not entirely true… but I did buy something for $2.99 that will open up a whole new world to me, the ability to not have a language barrier between me and new friends.
I am bilingual… tri lingual if you count Spanglish, and one thing that has always interested me was language. I have always wanted to learn a new language but never got around to it, or more truthfully I could never decide which language which language I would really want to learn. If I had to take a guess it would probably be Chinese or Japanese. I connect with a lot of people and I always try to gear conversations towards culture since I am fascinated by peoples culture, customs and traditions.
I simply marvel in how important my smartphone (I use a Samsung Galaxy 3) is to me… I now blog, tweet, Facebook, connect professionally on Linked In, check my blog stats, order food, shop and so much more. I also think so many people have smartphones and do not know what to do with them. I recently saw a video on YouTube for an app called VOCRE TRANSLATE that will allow you to have a full conversation with someone face to face or via a conference call. With a quick set up you can talk to someone and have the app translate for you (both in text and in voice mode) and that my friend can save you a whole lot of money on those expensive language lessons.
I want to be very clear… I do not know the folks at Vocre, this is not a paid endorsement… I just think this is a very cool app and in just one short week I have had pretty cool conversations with people from Turkey, Russia, China and Polish. I also got to show it to some Spanish dominant friends I have to show them how it can help them learn English.
What are you waiting for????
Check it out! it is only $3 in the Android Market or visit them at http://www.vocre.com/ to learn more.
I have included two videos so you can see exactly how it works…
