Stereotypically Me Premieres Tonight… Online!

attachment (3)Mi Gente…

Have you seen the uptick in chatter about Latinos in Hollywood that normally happens right after the Oscars? If you have this blog post is very timely. Tonight we will engage in dialogue about how we as Latinos can emerge as a force in the industry by telling stories that resonate with nuestra gente.

I have teamed up with my favorite Latina director to host a very special premiere of her new short film “Stereotypically Me” on  March 5th, 2014 at 9pm (EST) on the Nestivity Platform so you can follow the conversation.

Here is a lil bit about the movie… Lydia, a struggling screenwriter, is pressured to get rid of her stereotypical muse Marisol in order to become a more successful writer. Marisol, a sassy, urban Latina, refuses to change. Lydia must decide whether to embrace her duality or kill the muse.

This event, hosted by George Torres (@UrbanJibaro) will go live on March 5th, 2014 at 9pm (EST). We will have a Live Q&A immediately following the premiere.

Here is the link to join the conversation – and tweet using the #StereotypicallyMe hashtag

This event is brought to you by Sofrito Media Group in association with Odd Girl In Entertainment.
