SONY Ambassador Activates Young Minds at Hispanicize.

Cine Sony Television, the network delivering Hollywood blockbusters in Spanish to the thriving US Hispanic audience, partnered with Hispanicize for its 5th annual conference this past April 1st-4th in Miami, FL

 As part of the channel’s commitment to supporting quality entertainment in Spanish, Cine Sony Television is bringing Hollywood to Latino trendsetters, newsmakers and innovators with an exclusive blockbuster themed lounge and a red carpet sweepstakes for an all-inclusive trip to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 premiere in New York.

Everything about SONY’s presence was cool… but what really stood out to me was the young man working as the SONY Brand Ambassador named Omar. In the spirit of the Positive Impact Awards… I really feel like I need to tell this story.

So I met Omar from Sony while I was touring with young students from the Aspira Eugenio Maria De Hostos middle school in Miami. That day Hispanicize was pairing up students with CEO’s, Media Professionals and other Influencers so that they can get an idea how a conference like Hispanicize comes together. Omar really inspired each student that we brought over with his high energy and his passion for what Sony is bringing in terms of programming to the community. He got to know each kid by name, asked them what they wanted to study in college, really listened to their responses and gave them feedback. He demonstrated that relationships mean everything and we each have it in us to build each other up by spreading positivity. There is no doubt he created little brand ambassadors as many of the kids commented that their parents preferred Spanish programming.

Omar… I really want to thank you publicly for taking the time to inspire these young kids! Sony… Thank you for picking people that really care about the communities they serve.

As if that was not enough, Hispanicize attendees had a chance to win great prizes every day to enhance their at home movie experience, including a 60” Sony HDTV, a Sony Xperia Tablet and Sony Noise-Canceling Headphones. I am extremely happy to say that I won the 60″ SONY HDTV… THANK YOU MIL VECES SONY!

 The Cine Sony Television lounge gave conference-goers a close look at the channel’s hit movie line-up for the coming months. This month, the network is featuring blockbusters such as Ali, Vertical Limit, We Own The Night, Panic Room and The Cable Guy. And in May, audiences can check out favorites such as Men in Black II, Step Brothers,Hancock, Donnie Brasco, Straw Dogs, and many more.
