Cultural Event: International Coquito Federation’s
Lower East Side Coquito Master Qualifier 2009

Presented by Boricuation and Soulfrito Nuevo.

 The
Lower East Side Coquito Masters Qualifier 2009 November 28th, 2009
6-9pm. will be a part of several qualifying events throughout New York
City for The International Coquito Master Final 2009 held at El Museo
Del Barrio 1230 Fifth Avenue (104th St.) N.Y.C. on (Super Sabado!)
December 19, 2009.

For the past 8 years Soulfrito Nuevo and
The International Coquito Federation has held the Coquito Masters. This
year, Soulfrito Nuevo and ICF are collaborating with several
organizations across the Tri-State area to bring a series of qualifiers
leading to Super Sabado Coquito Masters Final. Out of these qualifiers,
a divisional Coquito Master will be voted on to advance to compete at
The Coquito Master Final.

Boricuation in partnership with
Soulfrito Nuevo and ICF, collaborating with BoriMix and Clemente Soto
Velez Cultural Center bring The Coquito Mater Qualifier 2009 to The
Lower East Side. This will be a cultural event as we have invited
renowned artisans Mia Hernandez, Olga Ayala, Juan Carlos and the very
special people at TostoBueno to display hand crafted art and paintings.
Art and paintings will be available for sale in time for the holidays.
We have also invited The Afro-Puertorican Youth Project BombaYo who
will play Bomba y Plena and also conduct a Bomba workshop.
