Our Featured Poet:LA BRUJA!

Whether singing on Telemundo, performing on HBO's Def Poetry Jam, or appearing in History Channel docudramas, modern day renaissance woman La Bruja refuses to be put in a box. Her unique creativity and charisma has taken her from appearances in a Spike Lee film to running writing workshops for inner-city youth and even modeling for Levis in Glamour and Marie Claire.

Since her spoken-word debut at the famed Nuyorican Poet's Cafe in 1996, Caridad De La Luz, aka La Bruja, has appeared on HBO's "Russell Simmons Def Poetry Jam" and performed internationally at dozens of respected venues, including Joe's Pub at The Joseph Papp Public Theater, The Nuyorican Cafe in Puerto Rico, SOBs, The American Museum of Natural History, and at Miramax's "Celebration of Miguel Pinero".

She is the author of the highly successful sold-out one-woman comedy show "Boogie Rican Blvd."

La Bruja has recently released her first book- The Poetician!
& is the official NY Youth Godmother of the 2011 National Puerto Rican Day Parade

Our Featured Visual Artist : SANTIAGO !

World Renowned Pin-up / portrait artist, & cultural remixer who says:
I never had an official bio, and won't bore you with one now. Nor will I talk in the third person about what companies and exhibitions I collaborated with.

Santiago's newest artistic project can be found on - Vintage Pin-up Boombox Couture. Frankie Baby is a return to the charm of a bygone era, of curvaceous beauty and the retro chic of the 40's and 50’s Mambo scene contrasted against the rich urban cultural renaissance of the 80's with contemporary global twists.
