NBC Latino launched their new Facebook page today to deepen engagement with the Latino community and those that love the culture. The Facebook page launched early this morning... and instantly grabbed the attention of a good 25 people (including me).
NBC Latino had been working via TUMBLR and TWITTER for some time now... but it looks like they are ready for their close up as they announced the project and introduced their team to us via the new http://www.facebook.com/NBCLatinoFacebook page.
We encourage you to support this project in a time when our culture is being attacked in the political, educational and even in everyday mainstream media. We need to promote organizations that promote positive images in the media and create platforms that create dialog and discuss real solutions to the issues we face.
On behalf of the communities I represent, I would like to welcome NBC Latino to the Latino Cultural Diaspora on the web...
Here is the 411 on where to connect with NBC Latino

La Sensacion, Jose El Jodon and I have been preparing to return to the airwaves for the new year, and we have decided to return to the place where it all started... Blog Talk Radio.
If you ever wanted to read the history of the radio show, you can see it on my old Urban Jibaro blog.
As you may recall on May 1st, we moved to Urban Latino Studios to try and enhance the show with an established brand and a great lineup of shows. Our time at Urban Latino Radio was amazing and we sincerely thank them for helping us develop as a team. We continue to support them and hope to work with them in the near future.
Our decision to return to Blog Talk Radio was based on your feedback. Many of you missed the interactivity of our first two years of broadcasting. When at BTR, you felt like you owned the show and it was hard to make you happy at our new home. Blog Talk Radio has also had incredible growth and has added many features we know that you will love... best of all we will be back on ITUNES!
We hope that you will tune in this Monday January 16th at 9:00pm (Eastern Standard Time) on our newly refreshed page on Blog Talk Radio.

My buddy Adrian Carasquillo from NBC put together a cool list of Social Media Influentials and included your favorite Jibaro... check it ouuuut!
Here is the intro to the post...
From Hispanic social media organizations to news and culture hubs, influencers and bloggers to online Latino initiatives, the world of Latino social media has only grown in the past year. Statistics and buzzwords aside, the Hispanic space is populated by professionals and platforms that affect the lives of many Latinos online.
Below I’ll provide a work in progress A to Z list. If you think you (or your organization) should represent a letter send me an email at adrian.carrasquillo[at]nbcuni.com or a tweet @RealAdrianC. I want to include the choices that best reflect the players in Latino social and digital media. This is version 1.0.
