Lance Rios discusses the importance of mentoring in the Latino community

To YOU!

From Lance Rios….

As most of you know well,
I’m a part of Latino Bigs, a grassroots composed of socially conscious Latino
volunteers helping empower the Latino community through one-to-one mentoring.

My little Brother
(Saulito) and I made a 2:00 video for you all to watch to get a better
understanding of our relationship as well as the importance of mentoring. You
can view the clip by click the link below:

As mentioned in the
video, I've recently accepted the challenge to participate in the 5th Annual Big
Brothers Big Sisters of New York City RBC Race for the Kids, which takes place
on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Race for the Kids is a day that celebrates the
POWER OF MENTORING. I am asking you to help by supporting my fundraising efforts
with a donation.  During these challenging economic times, the need to come
together as a community could not be stronger. Any amount, great or small,
allows Latino Bigs through Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City to help
underserved children by providing them with caring adult mentors. Your
tax-deductible gift has the power to change lives! It is faster and easier than
ever to support this great cause – you can make your donation online by simply
clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. If you would prefer, you can
also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed
below.
