Day 4 of my #21DayJournal

When do I pivot here?

#21DayJournal is a series of sometimes unedited tweets, blog posts, podcasts, Facebook / IG lives and Linked In posts written between April 11th and May 1st during the COVID-19 quarantine.

I want to say that I have nothing but respect for all of you that have been sheltered in place since the quarantine began. I do not know how you have made it this far… between the homeschooling, working from home, managing small children, being concerned for older family members, dealing with food insecurity and potentially losing jobs. I think its safe to say that it’s just beginning for me… I appreciate those of you who have shared their best practices with me as I navigate the isolation and uncertainty.

My sleep patterns are worst than they have ever been, I am having weird dreams, emotionally eating and oddly enough I feel optimistic. I feel like my survival instinct is about to kick in and I will once again be in a place where I am managing what I need to do as well as what I want to do.

I have found comfort in picking up the phone and talking to loved ones, writing this journal and building the COVID-19 Community Live Doc with you. You can see that by clicking this link.

I also have had some of you thank me privately for inspiring you to write and document how you feel during this pause. Some of you have reflected on things you already knew you wanted or need to shift in your life, and are now finding that this may be the right time to do so.

I am grateful for your feedback as it really serves as confirmation as to what kind of impact I wanted to have by sharing my story. I also wanted you to know that this moment is yours to do with as you please. You can take classes, pick up skills, work out, binge on tv, play video games, take several naps a day… whatever it takes to survive this under the circumstances you find yourself in.

Disregard the voices of judgment and shame that plague your timelines.

Personally, I want to do more… I want to work on my business, develop curriculum, write more of my book, go live and help you with your businesses… but right now… I can’t. Maybe this changes tomorrow, maybe it doesn’t. If it doesn’t, it’s ok. My time will come.

Many of you have asked what I am using. While I love the feeling of an old fashioned leather-bound book, I often use Evernote to record my thought process and jot down ideas.

For journaling, I have decided to use MY LIFE 3R.

This platform was built by my friend and fraternity Brother Ben…

Here is what My Life is in his own words…

My Life is a private online home that offers tools developed and maintained with our core values WRITE • REFLECT • REMEMBER (known as 3R) for your personal use only. The tools available provide a safe space to WRITE your thoughts, moments and more. Then, when ready, you can use the tools to REFLECT and REMEMBER your thoughts, moments, and more in a timely manner and in complete privacy.

Built on the Core Values of WRITE • REFLECT • REMEMBER (known as 3R). Each core value starts with the phonetic sound of R. On their own, each core value is special and meaningful. As examples: “WRITE / Writing” provides relief through the expression of emotions and helps to refine ideas together; “REFLECT / Reflecting” is a process of exploring and examining one self, one’s perspectives, experiences and actions / interactions. “REMEMBER / Remembering” keeps alive important knowledge about one’s life, personal attributes and traits.

Challenge Yourself to write your own story, one thought or moment at a time. Now it’s easy to write your own story with My Life. You will end up with a REWARDA Never Ending Story.

START YOUR FREE ACCOUNT TODAY using the link in the ABOUT section and begin to unlock the 3R’s. There is no better time to start than NOW. ALL YOU NEED IS A VALID EMAIL.

Important, this is not an ad, just a suggestion based on the fact that I have found it extremely useful during this time.

Look forward to hearing more feedback about the stories you are writing.

Abrazos desde lejos.
