Boricua Goddess and Family #CaptureTheMoment with Omar Lopez Photography Studio

The following is a testimonial of Omar Lopez Photo Studios who we partnered with for their 10th anniversary giveaway. This customer was not compensated for this review, however she was the winner of the giveaway of a family photo shoot.

Sunday morning was a rush… rush, rush. Streets were closed due to the NY Marathon so getting to the Harlem location on 125th Street was a bit of a challenge. I misunderstood Lexington for Lenox and had the cabbie drop us off on 125th St. and Lenox, not realizing we would have to then walk several blocks, all along pushing our way through against strong, very cool, winds.

We made it! We finally arrived to the Omar Lopez Photography studio where down stairs we were greeted at the door by one of the staff members who lead upstairs to get us all set up. There was no time wasted. I was cold and hoped for a small cup of Joe while I signed the release forms but they weren’t offering any.
We were greeted in the waiting area by Mr. Lopez who then led us into the studio where we would be photographed. There were two setups. One with an all white backdrop and another with two living room seats which were set up in front of a fireplace setup that was adorned with Christmas stockings to give it that warm, Christmas essence.
Mr. Lopez was very easy to work with. He was quick but patient as well. My daughters are a big fuss so they constantly wanted to make sure their hair was OK and the biggest mistake was having a huge mirror right next to the shooting area. lol He arranged us in several different poses. We were 5 in total. Myself, my husband and my three daughters. He took several shots of all of us as a family, of myself and daughters only, of my husband and daughters only, of the girls only and of myself with my husband only. These arrangements took place at both settings. We were even given Christmas hats to wear for a few of the shots.
The very best part was the complimentary massage at the end of the shoot, and since it was good for just one person, of course I sat in the massage chair. On our way out, we had a very brief video interview about our experience and then we were offered complimentary t-shirts with the studio logo and information and a couple of other small items.
I want to thank you again for this opportunity. It was a really fun experience; one that my family and I will remember for a long time to come.
